Your email, if you give it to us
The waitlist form stores the address you enter, the time you entered it, and that it came from this site. We use it to tell you when VeriRecall opens, and for nothing else. It is not sold, shared, rented, or enriched.
The page-view beacon
The home page runs a small script, /vis.js. It sends our server a page-view event when the page loads, and a signup event after a successful waitlist signup (that event doesn’t carry your email). Each event sends:
- which event it is (a page view, or a signup from the waitlist form) and the site name;
- the path of the page you’re on (for example
/), without the query string; - the full referrer URL: the address of the page that linked you here, exactly as your browser reports it (browsers often shorten it to just the site, and send none when you typed the address yourself);
- the
utm_sourcevalue, if the link you followed had one; - a random session id.
The session id is made in your browser and kept in this tab’s session storage, not in a cookie; closing the tab clears it. Browsers that report themselves as automated don’t send the beacon.
From each event we keep the event and the site name, the time, the path, the utm_source value, the session id, and a category worked out from the referrer (such as direct, a search engine, a social site, or other). We don’t keep the referrer URL itself.
What we don’t do
No cookies, no fingerprinting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics, no ad pixels, no form services. The site’s fonts and scripts load from this site. The email you type goes to our own database and nowhere else. We don’t build profiles, and we can’t follow you across other sites.
Our host, Cloudflare, handles every request to deliver the site, including your IP address. Our code doesn’t store IP addresses.
Removal
Want your address gone? Email [email protected], or reply to any email we send, and we’ll delete it.
